The 24^th Evacuation Hospital (Semi-mobile) ends its service in Vietnam.

November 10 or 21

There are conflicting dates as to the closing of the 24^th Evac.  The date for "departure" is listed as November 10^th (Vietnam Order of Battle, Stanton), but the date for inactivation is listed as November 21^st (Lest We Forget Part II, Barnett & Foss).  The most likely explanation is that the hospital personnel were gone and the buildings turned over to the Vietnamese on the 10^th, but the "paperwork" wasn't signed until the 21^st.

It is believed CPT Hammond MSC was the American who turned out the lights.
