1400 The II Field Forces PIO conducted taped interviews throughout the hospital. Both patients and personnel were interviewed. The taped interviews will be sent to the Home Town News Release Center in Kansas City to be edited and then forwarded to the individual's home town radio station for broadcasting in approximately one month. signed Gary Robinson, 1LT, MSC, Adjutant

1000 Colonel Dempsey, XO 44th Medical Brigade, accompanied by Colonel Austin, CO 68th Med GP and LTC Miclekson, S-3 44th Med Bde were briefed and taken on a tour of the hospital and contonement area. 0915 Thai Lieutenant General, Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations, Royal Thai Army landed on the helipad and was greeted by LTC Hammon and MAJ Jenkins and proceeded to a 15 minute briefing in the Chapel by LTC Hammon. 0930 Reporters from the MACV Observer and PIO Officer from 44th Medical Brigade visited the hospital. The purpose of the visit was to collect information and take pictures to publish in the next issue of the Observer. The Observer will feature a two page story about the 44th Medical Brigade which will also include the 24th Evacuation Hospital. 1LT Robinson took the group on a tour of the hospital and discussed the operation of each section. signed Gary Robinson, 1LT, MSC, Adjutant

1415 COL Mercedes Fischer, ANC, USARPAC Chief Nurse, made an official visit to the 24th Evacuation Hospital. COL Fischer received a briefing of the 24th Evacuation Hospital by LTC William Hammon, Hospital Commander. Following this briefing she received a briefing of the Nursing Service and a tour of the hospital. COL Fischer had the opportunity to meet and talk with nursing service personnel and also to talk with the patients. signed Gary Robinson, 1LT, MSC, Adjutant

0830 Brigadier General Jennings, the Commanding General of the 44th Medical Brigade, visited the hospital and was given a briefing by the hospital commander, LTC Hammon. He then visited Wards 12 and 14 and then on to the nursing quarters. He asked questions about the enlisted men and officers quarters.
1500 Nursing Service Inservice program for the month of March 1969 was held .... WO Merle Snyder, helicopter pilot, from the 45th Med Co., Long Binh Post, presented a briefing on the activities of "Dustoff" followed by a demonstration of hoist lifting a person was presented on the helipad. Approximately 50 staff members were present for the briefing and 100 persons observed the demonstration. signed Gary Robinson, 1LT, MSC, Adjutant
